Seol and Sebe
koreans celebrate the Lunar New Year. Seol Is, along with "chusok", one of the two most important holidays in Korea. The New Year's greeting is "새해 복 많이 받으세요."
Koreans put the "solbim" on this ealry morning and they do Sebe(the first greeting of the year) to the elders like grand parents, older relatives, and own parents. Solbim are new clothes which are prepared to wear on Seolnal. Usually, it is the traditional custome, Han bok.
The Traditional Food - Ttokkuk
Ttokkuk is one of the famous foods in New Year. By eating this food you are getting one year older. Koreans do not count the age on the basis of their birthday but on the basis of every New Year's day. When you have a dish of Ttokkuk, you are one year older. This food is made of "Ga re ttok" which shapes round.
Funny Seolnal
Koerans are playing a lot of fun activities in New Year.
They fly kites, play Yut game, do top-spinning, and do snow sliding, etc. However, Yut game is propably the most popular among them. Yut is one of the traditional Korean games that can be played anywhere. It's especially popular on New Year's Day.
